Leading from the Second Chair

My wife, Trisha, was a guest blogger yesterday for Jenni Catron, Executive Director of Cross Point Church. Trisha, as I have said before on this blog is one of the best leaders I know. It is wild, because these days I am learning a lot from her experience of leading from the second chair. She has spent years supporting me and my ministry efforts. I now find myself in a position of leading from the second chair and have leaned heavily into her advice and experience. You can read her entire post HERE:

3 principles that she gives from leading from the second chair are:

  1. Leadership is about influence and using that influence to spur others to a common goal.
  2. Leading from the second chair requires you to eventually lead from the first chair or submit to someone else’s leadership.
  3. A GOOD leader leads… a GREAT leader teaches others to lead.

Anything you would add or take away from her observations?

I thought her post was brilliant and very informative. You're blessed to have her as your wife!
