3 Questions to Ask When Making a Decision
We have spent most of the past two years trying to discover, process and follow God’s will for our life and our family. We have journaled, prayed, fasted, talked, sought advice from wise people. Here are three questions we processed as we made the move to Cross Point and back into vocational ministry.
1. What does God want?(What does God say in His word he wants from us?)
2. What are we called to do?(How has God created us, designed us, given us passions and gifts?)
3. Is it wise for our family? (given the stage of life, age of our kids, and financial and social needs, what is the wisest thing for our family)
These three questions were critical for us in making a very, very important decision. What are questions you ask or process as you seek God’s will for your life or your family? What am I missing here?

Just a thought, Justin. If we have the answers to 1 and 2, do we need to ask 3 still? I can see the need to ask "how will this work for my family?" but struggle with asking "is it wise?" at that point. Thanks for your thoughts!
@ryansawrie…great thoughts. I guess I was thinking of the questions in light of my own situation…multiple opportunities to serve in different churches/ministries. So I had to weigh what was best for my family, stage of life, etc. All the opportunities were from God, all fit into my giftedness, so question #3 became big.
I see your point. If the first two questions have multiple answers then the third becomes more important.
That's a solid three questions. I'm still struggling with #2.
